One electronically tested 14KT white gold ladies cast tanzanite and diamond ring. Condition is new, good workmanship. The ring features a trillion tanzanite outlined diamonds supported by diamond set shoulders, completed by a two millimeter wide band. Identified with markings of "14K".; One prong set triangle mixed cut natural tanzanite, measuring 11.50 x 11.00 x 5.07mm, approximate weight of 3.95ct., clarity is eye clean, type I, medium, slightly grayish, bluish violet color, (GIA BV 5/2) to very light, very slightly grayish, violet, (GIA V 2/3), cut is very good. Transmitting light with no distortion, transparent. Graded in the setting.; Tanzanite is found in Tanzania. Originally discovered in 1967. Tiffany & Company, named the stone Tanzanite. It is found in the Usumburu Mountains of northem Tanzania. Tanzanite occurs in gray, brown, violet, blue, reddish-purple, & green. It is interesting because of the exceptional pleochroism. Rotated, a tanzanite will exhibit multiple changes of color.
