One electronically tested 18KT white gold ladies cast tanzanite & diamond ring. Condition is new, good workmanship. The featured tanzanite is set within a tiered diamond bezel, supported by a ribbed under gallery, completed by a two millimeter wide band. Bright polish finish. Trademark is Orianne. Identified with markings of "18K" Containing: One prong set pear mixed cut natural tanzanite, measuring 11.00 x 9.00 x 6.80mm, approximate weight of 4.62ct., clarity is eye clean, type I, dark, very slightly grayish, bluish violet color, (GIA bV 7/3), cut is good. Transmitting light with no distortion, transparent. Graded in the setting. Tanzanite is a very rare gemstone that is only found in Tanzania. The mining area is located just south of the Kenya border near Mt. Kilimanjaro. Tanzanite occurs in colors of gray, brown, violet, blue, reddish-purple, & green. Rotated in different directions tanzanite will exhibit multiple changes of color. Tanzanite has a low tolerance to ultrasonic cleaning and should not be cleaned using this method.
