Galcon Alternator Valves eliminate the need to purchase a second hose end timer, simply attach this valve to the timer with the hose thread and hose end and in no time one can enjoy two separate drip irrigation zones. Notice the red switch, which is a simple directional switch. When the alternator valve is first installed, the switch is set to the first zone from which the alternator valve automatically switches zones. Don't buy another expensive timer or build a complex manifold. Simply attach our hose-threaded Galcon generator valve to your tap or timer and instantly double the coverage of your drip irrigation system. This alternator valve is not a timer and does not require batteries or power. It is simply powered by water passing through it. Placing the alternator valve downstream of the timer or valve will cause the water flow to alternate from one outlet to the next with each cycle of the timer. It's a simple, inexpensive solution that doubles the coverage of your drip irrigation system. It works by the change in pressure as water flows. Allow approximately 1 minute between each watering start time for the valve to actuate. The generator valves operate over a pressure range of 10 PSI to 125 PSI and allow flow rates up to 6 GPM per zone. Watering two zones with one station controller.
