The Last American Virgin (Special Edition) [Blu-ray]

Product Description THE COMEDY THAT PUTS ZIP INTO BEING A TEEN!THE LAST AMERICAN VIRGIN is the cult-classic 1980's teen comedy about close-knit group of high school friends, Gary (Lawrence Monoson, Mask), the shy guy; his friend Rick (Steve Antin, The Goonies), the ladies man; and David (Joe Rubbo, Hot Chili), the comic foil, and their exploits in pursuit of love... or at the very least... their first time! Also starring Diane Franklin (Better Off Dead), Louisa Moritz (One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest) and Kimmy Robertson ("Twin Peaks"), this funny, dramatic and nostalgic time capsule chronicles the ups and downs of friendship, romance, and the bittersweet memories of youth, set to a classic 80's soundtrack. Review One of the best… one of the smartest movies about teen relationships ever made. It has one of the greatest soundtracks in history. When you combine all these elements you have this film that I consider to be a masterpiece. It is my favorite sex comedy from the 1980’s. --Writer / Producer / Director / Filmmaker Eli Roth A powerhouse soundtrack–with the songs deployed slyly, as comment and foreshadowing–and a stunning ending balance the copious nudity and slapstick raunch… the film's frankness makes it more honest than its dreamy-eyed descendants. --Noel Murray, The AV Club Unlike the other teen sex comedies of the 1980s, The Last American Virgin was the only one truthful enough to have a "main character... left longing for his dream girl", whereas all the others were "acheless". --Andy Selsberg, “They Want us to Look”, Culture.org
